The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 entitles homeowners to a federal tax credit for qualified, energy efficient, home improvements made to their existing primary residence. The credit applies to 30% of each product purchased (installation labor not included), up to a maximum credit of $1500 per homeowner for products placed in service during the period of January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010.

TO QUALIFY IS SIMPLE. 

Choose any door listed in the chart below and follow these guidelines:

1. The door must be placed in service on the taxpayer's existing primary residence

    between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010.

2. The door is installed on an insulated building.

3. A perimeter seal is installed with the door as a means to control air infiltration.

4. Retain certificate given at time of installation and your receipts with your tax records.
